Wyoming State Mammal

Wyoming State Mammal

The most popular state symbols in the Great Plains are the cottonwood, western meadowlark, and bison. Wyoming is the only state besides Kansas that adopted all three.

In fact, the most famous bison in America may be the white buffalo on Wyoming’s flag. It’s a reminder that the last wild bison remaining in the U.S. roamed in what is now Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park.
