Nevada State Tree

Nevada has two state trees. The single-leaf pinyon was designated the state tree in 1953. More than three decades later, the bristlecone pine (below) was adopted as a second state tree.

California’s redwoods may be the biggest trees, but bristlecones are among the longest-lived species known.
