Insects are super popular symbols among the 50 states. Alabama and Delaware each have three state insects. However, Tennessee is the winner, with four. Iowa and Michigan are the only U.S. states with no official insect.

The most popular state insect by far is the introduced honeybee. Other popular choices include butterflies, particularly the eastern tiger swallowtail and the monarch.
