Kentucky Symbols of the Arts

While most states call the square dance their official dance, Kentucky shares clogging with North Carolina. Like bluegrass and the dulcimer, clogging is associated with Appalachia.

Kentucky also has an official theatre, amphitheater, outdoor musical (The Stephen Foster Story), pipe band, and Shakespeare festival.

From Bluegrass to Newgrass, many of Kentucky’s cultural symbols are a little unfamiliar to me, making them all the more interesting.
