North Dakota shares its state flower, the prairie rose or pasture rose, with Iowa and Alberta.
The prairie rose is a fitting symbol for the Peace Garden State. Moreover, I think it nicely complements North Dakota’s beautiful coat of arms, which belongs on its flag.
